Hard Boiled Eggs

The Easy Way to Hard Boil Eggs

By USA Pan | 0 Comments | September,1 2016

Step 1: Bring water to a boil in a stockpot with a cover that is big enough to hold the amount of eggs you wish to cook. The cover will end up helping the water boil faster than an uncovered stockpot.

Step 2: While you wait for the water to boil, get another pot ready filled with ice water. Step 3: Once water is boiling, remove your eggs from the fridge and place them into the pot. Step 4: Bring the heat to a very low simmer. Cook the eggs for about 11-12 minutes. If using Jumbo or large eggs, you may want to cook for 13-15 minutes. Step 5: After time is up, place eggs into ice bath to cool rapidly for about 5 minutes. Crack the eggs against a hard-surface and they should be relatively easy to peel. It is recommended that peeling occurs right after cooling. Note: If there is a green ring around the egg yolk, it’s an indication that the egg is overcooked, so consider reducing cooking time if that is the case.
