These danish pastries are so easy to pull together, your guests will never know they aren't made from scratch! Buttery, puff pastry filled with sweet cherry filling baked up perfectly on your USA sheet pans!
Bake Time: 25-30 minutes
Serving Size: 8 servings
Ingredients1 box of frozen puff pastry sheets (thawed)- 2 sheets
Cherry pie filling (you can substitute any flavor here)
1 egg lightly beaten w 1 T water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Thaw puff pastry sheets according to instructions (typically 30-40 min). You want them soft, but not overly warm. Lightly roll pastry sheets to 10" x 10" square. This will only require minimal rolling, as most sheets are near that size anyway. Cut the sheet into quarters (4 equal size squares). Repeat with other pastry sheet. Place 1-1 1/2 tablespoons of filling in center of each square. Take your egg wash and moisten the outside of the square. Then, fold 2 opposite corners of the pastry so they stick together. Brush the top of each with egg wash. Place 4 pastries on a USA Pan cookie sheet or half sheet pan. Refrigerate pastries for 15 min. Bake each sheet for approximately 25-30 min, until puffed and brown. These are great served warm. Y ou can prepare these at night and leave them in the refrigerator over night. Then, pull them and bake them in the morning!
