Ingredients

9 cups peeled, sliced apples
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon melted butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ginger
3 tablespoon flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup apple cider or apple juice

Topping:
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
3/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup cold butter

Recipe Instructions

Mix the apples with brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ginger, flour, salt, apple cider or apple juice. Place apple mixture in lightly greased 9 x 9 USA Pan. Mix together all topping ingredients and add butter last. Work the butter in, making a crumbly mixture. Place topping on apple mixture. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for one hour.
